Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We've been asked to help a little dog in big trouble. You see, BENTLEY was brought to a vet clinic to be euthanized as his previous owners didn't feel they were able to control him. They said he does not like kids, and has bitten their young daughter (6 years old), but were not forthcoming about the details beyond it wasn't serious enough to warrant medical treatment. Now that the female owner is pregnant again, they are not comfortable with him in the house. They tried bringing him to their local humane society who refused to take him stating they would have to euthanize him as he's bitten someone. The vet refused to euthanize him, but was able to convince the owners to surrender him in the hopes of finding him a home. While we are giving him a few days to settle in at the clinic before making any official evaluation, he seems to be improving in his first 24 hours already. BENTLEY is a 2YO Shih tzu/Yorkie who is 18lbs and a wee bit chunky. As per his surrendering owners he's good with cats and female dogs, but generally not with males (though he's intact so neutering will likely help with this). He will need a child free home. He cannot stay at the vets long term, so we are looking for a foster or adoptive home who can give him a chance.
