My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

Prior to coming to SHRF, beautiful Bella was surrendered back to the shelter after having been adopted, for reasons unknown to us. We do know that her previous owner adopted three dogs in the past from the shelter and returned two of them. Perhaps they underestimated the amount of responsibility of a multi-dog household or lacked knowledge about Siberian Huskies.

Bella is a very sweet girl who gives gentle Husky butterfly kisses. It is likely that she was an outside dog at some point, so she is working on and improving her house manners under the guidance of her foster mom. She is willing to learn, listens well to correction, and is housebroken.

She enjoys her daily walks and does well when on lead. She is somewhat skittish of some adults, but absolutely loves kids. Once she gets to meet people, she warms up and enjoys human attention.

Bella seems to have her own opinion of how her foster mom's house is decorated as she enjoys picking up items (such as dish towels and slippers), without destroying them, and placing them elsewhere. She is not fond of the crate, but is ok with it. In time (since she is new to rescue) she will, like the vast majority of Huskies, prove to be trustworthy enough to be left uncrated when left alone.

Bella gets along well with other dogs and has been confirmed to be cat friendly, although we still recommend using caution when being introduced to cats and any other small animals.

Bella is healthy, heartworm negative, spayed, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped. She is ready for a home that is willing to give her the love, attention and the lifetime commitment that she deserves. Give her that and you will be rewarded tenfold.
