Very sweet 3 year old russian blue-like boy with diminished vision, bonded with Echo.
Encore came to us as a kitten in 2011 - he had had an untreated upper respiratory tract infection that caused severe damages to his eyes. One eye was blind and painful, so was ultimately removed. The other eye scarred down to a fairly comfortable and probably very slightly functional state. It seems that he can see a little - but not much. None the less he is a very normally functional cat - just an indoor only one obviously!
He was adopted with Echo when they were 5-6 months and they were happy and settled for 2 years. Then his owner made some poor personal decisions and lost his home and dropped them off at the shelter. Fortunately their initial foster mother was contacted by the shelter and bailed them out - so they are trying again - hopefully this time for a more stable home that will last forever.
