This sweet lady was a lost dog. A county police officer picked her up in June 2006 as a stray dog & said she was soo sweet he just could not bear to take her to the county shelter . She has a very sweet temperament & loves to play in the yard. However, Bette appreciates the finer comforts of air conditioning & a well cushioned couch. Her favorite thing is kissing your hand & rolling over for belly rubs. . We have named her Bette after Bette Davis the actress because she has "Bette Davis eyes!". Just look at those sweet, loving bright brown eyes & your heart just melts. Bette is in very good health & has been spayed. Bette is heart worm negative & is maintained on monthly heart worm, flea & tick prevention medication & is up to date on all her shots. The vet approximates her age at 2-3 years old. Betty is ready to be adopted to a permanent home with a fenced yard and lots of love. She looks like a small Shepherd, only weighing in between 30 -35 pounds. Bette is crate trained, & house trained. She will let you know when she needs to go out. She also knows some basic commands such as sit, heel, halt, go out, go potty, etc. Bette loves just about anybody. When she goes for walks she loves to meet new people. And she loves to ride in the car too.
