My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rascal is an adorable little boy who was taken from his previous owner because he was being beaten with a "switch". He was also eaten up with flea bite dermatitis, very wormy & not fed properly. Rascal is now in good health, free of all parasites. and his hair has now grown back in all the places he had chewed raw from the fleabites. All our dogs are kept on monthly heartworm preventative & flea/tick preventative. Yes, he has that Hippo head, but his coat is like a Lab's coat. The Shar Pei people may say that he isn't Shar Pei and he may not be, but that head sure looks it. You really have a lot of guess work in rescue, unless you have actually seen Mom and Dad. We know he has Lab because his feet are really webbed. We are guessing he would be a great swimmer, and he does love the water! Rascal is a very playful puppy, who loves to chase the ball around the back yard, and will fetch. He is learning quickly how to walk on a leash, and has already learned a few commands such as sit, heel, halt, go potty, etc.. Rascal is a very smart boy, who would surely respond well to puppy obedience school, if he could just have a new permanent home & trustworthy owner who could adopt him & take the time to train him correctly & go to obedience classes. Rascal is a very sweet boy, who likes to give kisses. If you don't bend down far enough for him to kiss your face he will gladly kiss your bare legs, and he loves to kiss toes too. He turns those big eyes on you and you just melt. If any dog could beg for love and attention, with just a look, here is the one. Rascal loves his humans and is very protective of them, and he loves playing with my young nephews too.
Rascal is crate trained, housetrained, leash trained, and gets along with inside cats who don't run. All he needs is one good slap from the cat & he shows them respect from then on.
The adoption donation is $170.00 which includes his neuter, current shots & microchip.
