Chrissy's Story...
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficultâ??we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.

Chrissy was rescued from a shelter when she was very pregnant and on January 11 had five adorable puppies who are also seeking a home. Chrissy is a 5 year old chihuahua mix and is 15 pounds. If you are looking for a ready made small dog, Chrissy will fit the bill. She is excellent with children of all ages, cats, dogs, humans and everyone she meets. She is a sweet, good natured and well socialized dog who really wants her own family to love her and give her attention. Chrissy is house trained, crate trained, doesn't chew anything up and is really a great dog for almost any family. If you're grandparents who want an easy keeper who is good with your grandkids, please meet Chrissy.. She is with a 501c3 rescue and her adoption fee is $300. Chrissy is spayed and had a full dental, had a negative heartworm test, distemper/parvo shots and rabies shot, worming several times, and she has a HomeAgain microchip. She can be adopted prior to her spay and we will arrange to have it done someplace convenient to the adopter.

To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chrissy, a Osseo Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Osseo, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Osseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Osseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Osseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Osseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
