Hi everyone! My name is Miki and I am a one year old Labrador Retriever mix living in the great state of Tennessee. I am small at about 35-40 lbs, with sleek, short black fur and a white chest - I look dark chocolate brown in the right light.
My foster family tell me that I have a wonderful personality and am a very smart girl. They love my smile - yes, I love to show you my pearly whites when I am happy. My foster mom says that I will need a little more training because I forget that I should not jump on people, especially when I am excited to see you but, because I am not too big, I have never knocked anyone down. I love my humans' attention, playing with toys, chewing on treats (instead of your shoes), and getting my back scratched or belly rubbed. I walk well when wearing my harness and leash and love taking a walk with my foster parents.
I am loving, energetic, playful, good-natured, love treats, and enjoy sitting on the back of the couch. I run like the wind, and like playing outdoors with my foster family and the other dogs in the rescue. I stay close to home because I get very attached to humans so I need a family who will spoil me and spend time with me. I get along very well with everyone, young and old but I am best with older children. I love other dogs but have never met a cat.
Although I love taking walks, I am best suited to a family who wants a loving dog but doesn't expect me to be too high energy. I just want to spend time with a family of my own, and take over a chair in the living room.
