Hi, Dickens here. I came to SBACC as a very shy teenager. I was adopted along with my soul mate, Doubletake. Her name was changed to DeeDee, and we mostly hung out together and didn’t interact much with our adopters. I guess that wasn’t ok with them, because they decided to bring us back to SBACC. I became much more comfortable with people and welcome pets and attention. DeeDee and I remained bonded and enjoyed our life together here at SBACC, but sadly, my DeeDee crossed the Rainbow Bridge a few months ago. There’s a photo of us together. I miss her, but I’m getting some comfort from the other cats in my room, in fact, other cats seek me out, sort of like a big brother! It sure would be nice to have a home for my senior years, and another cat in the home would be fine with me!
Dickens is diabetic and gets daily insulin injections. He also has asthma and has an inhaler.
