My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sissy is a super sweet girl who is fully housetrained and great with people and other animals. She was turned into another shelter after her owner died and the family was unable to keep her. She was off of her thyroid medication for several months and had some hair loss from her low thyroid levels. The hair is starting to grow back, but is short on the back part of her body. The thyroid medicine is around $14 for a 3 months supply, so not expensive at all, but she must be kept on the meds for the rest of her life. She also has some deformity in her back legs so she walks a bit stiff and does not do stairs all that well, but gets around fine other than that. The vet thinks that she was born that way and there is nothing that can really be done about it, but it does not appear to give her any pain. Sissy has been vaccinated, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and was previously spayed so she is set to go. She has also been given heartworm and flea preventive. Her adoption fee is $100, and she will come with a month or more of her thyroid meds.
