My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Dexter! But my foster dad thinks my name should've been Baxter since I looks like the canine star of the movie Anchor Man. I'm a 2 1/2 year old rough coat, happy, young JRT. I am housebroken, obedient and VERY affectionate. I will curl up tight next to you on the couch and when you pet me, I know that if I roll over on my back that you will pet my belly and I LOVE that! I also love to chew my bone quietly on the floor and don't get possessive over it with other dogs, which I hear is a great quality! I get along great with my foster brother, and I know a few commands like sit and come. I am very calm in the house and don't require too much activity. I am also very responsive and learn fast. I used to bite my leash but that was a week ago and I learned that it's not a nice thing for me to do, so I stopped doing it. I do have a few bad habits that I need to work on, like walking better on leash since I don't think I was taught how to do that before. I don't bark at other dogs I encounter on my walks but I do tend to snap if we don't have a proper introduction. I also get anxious when my foster parents leave by crying, and also barking if I am in the crate, but I do quiet down. I am desperate for a family to love and call my own. Will you consider giving me my new forever home?
