Caesar update - last week Caesar was diagnosed with bone cancer and had to have his front leg Amputated. He is doing GREAT , we caught the Cancer in tome before it had spread and there is no reason he will not lead a high quality life. He has a great Spirit and is so loving, we are looking for a special family to love him !!
Caesar is a 5 yr old, Neutered, Fawn, English Mastiff... he was recently dumped at a local kill shelter where the staff was told he suffers from Seizures, and the family just can't handle that. Well, when pressed to describe the seizure activity the staff was told..they really weren't sure as to what was going on .. as he has only had ...2 in eight months !!! WHAT ???
2 seizures in 8 months ?????? So he must go ????
We picked him up , took him to our vet and she ran a liver and thyroid test to determine seizure activity, she could not find anything to support the Caesar ever had seizures or might n the future. We are not sure if he had a reaction to a topical medication or a food allergy, we don't know.. but we have ruled out conventional canine epilepsy. That being said, we continue to watch for any sign of seizure.. so far nothing unusual at all.
Caesar is PERFECT !! He is gentle, he is calm he is all about people ! He is crate/house trained and knows basic commands. He is good with kids and cats !
Everyone here loves him so much and we are looking for the perfect forever home.
