My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

10 Month old Charlie has been in a foster home since he was rescued from an unfortunate situation (along with 14 other standard poodles). His foster parents were hoping to adopt him but their elderly dog just insn't warming up to poor Charlie (through no fault of his own). Like the others, Charlie has come a long way.

Charlie is a very sweet, gentle dog. He loves affection and nudges you when he wants you to pet him. He has been great with other dogs and kids so far...although kids are completely new to him. He loves toys that squeek and is learning how to fetch. He is being crate trained and has only had a few accidents in the house. He needs some help with leash training and just basic obedience commands. He is smart and eager to learn. Charlie requires a large fenced yard to romp in (ideally with a doggie playmate)....he deserves that freedom after being confined to a small kennel his whole life. Plus he still has lots of puppy energy to burn off. He will require grooming every 4-6 weeks.
