My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Edison is a seven month old dachshund x terrier mix puppy. He weighs about ten pounds and will be a small dog when grown. He has beautiful tri-coloring and the cutest cropped tail. Look at those ears! There are just not enough words to describe Edison's CUTENESS!! He loves all other dogs and loves people the most! He even thinks the cats are fun, too! Edison is looking for a home to call his. He wants to be pampered and loved the rest of his life!

If you are interested in giving Edison a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you. Feel free to call Beverly (901-651-6322) or Angela (901-361-0089) anytime with questions.

Edison's adoption donation is $495 which helps to cover the neutering, shots, bordetella (kennel cough), vet examination, certificate of health and transportation. Edison is fostered with a family in Tennessee. Once he has been adopted, Edison will travel to his new family by professional pet transport. We use a weekly transport to the northeast and a twice monthly transport to Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
