My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

J. Lo is a beautiful 2-3 month old Border Collie / Lab puppy. She weighs 15 lbs now and we believe she will be a medium to large dog. J. Lo was rescued from a high kill shelter in TN. J. Lo LOVES everyone! She does not care who they are. J. Lo thinks everyone should love her too! Such a personality! J. Lo has the most beautiful b & w coat and it is a gorgeous true black, white on her legs. When J. Lo looks at you with those eyes, your heart just melts. She is very snugly and loves to be held. J. Lo is working on her potty training skills in her foster home.

If you are interested in giving J. Lo a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you. Feel free to call Beverly (901-651-6322) or Angela (901-361-0089) anytime with questions.

J. Lo's adoption donation is $495 which helps to cover the spaying, shots, bordetella (kennel cough), vet examination, certificate of health and transport. J. Lo is fostered with a family in Tennessee. She will travel to her new family by professional pet transport once she has been adopted. There are weekly trips to the northeast and twice monthly trips to Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
