Gorgeous Cagney is a four-year old Australian Kelpie/Rottweiler-mix girl who is loving, gentle and very sweet. Unfortunately, Cagney has spent a good portion of her young life in a boarding situation.
At this time, we are trying to secure a foster for Cagney. She is crate-trained and knows basic commands. She is not dog aggressive but she is dog selective and prefers dogs of her own size. We would recommend that she not be in a home with cats or small dogs and if possible, be in a home where she is the only dog. Should you decide to foster or adopt Cagney, free in-home training will be provided (in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area) by Chris Black of Elite Dog Training to ensure that Cagney blossoms into the girl that she is meant to be.
Cagney is extremely intelligent and learns quickly. While in foster care, she will receive training work to socialize her with other dogs, to restore her confidence, and to assist her in being a fantastic addition to any family.
She has been assessed with children over the age of seven and is wonderful with them and also great with adults. Due to living in boarding for so long, she is desirous of one-on-one attention. Cagney loves to cuddle as much as she loves to go on walks, car rides, playing with her toys and she absolutely adores swimming.
