Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi all you dog lovers out there. My name is Happy Gilmore. Guess that might tell you a little something about my personality. I just had my 1st birthday, so am still a puppy. I am having a ton of fun in my foster home! I have two foster siblings here whom I love to play with. The pretty boxer girl is bossy but I don't mind. I am easygoing and get along well with all the dogs I've met.
I am already house trained and even though I used to not like getting into the crate when my foster mommy had to go to work, I now go in easily because I know there is always a treat waiting for me in there. I walk nicely on the leash and don't ever pull, partly because I love to stay close to you.
The nice people that surrendered me said that I am naughty around cars because I like to chase them and that I shouldn't be near cats or chickens, either. Guess I like chasing them, too. Haven't caught any yet, and I'm not sure what I'd do if I did, but maybe we shouldn't find out since I have a clean record, Other than that, I'm a great guy. I don't do things like get on the furniture or jump on people. I am neutered all of my shots are up to date. I know how to come to you when you signal me but I need to see you because I'm deaf. Mom is working with me to learn other basic commands with signals but this is new to her, so we're working on it as a team. I know that other wonderful “deafies” have told you nice people this before, but it is worth repeating that being deaf is not a big deal, so don't let that put you off. I am as wonderful as any of my boxer brothers and sisters. And on top of that, I pay closer attention to my humans because I know I have to look at them to understand them. I also like to be a bit closer to them, so if you are looking for a close companion who will give you years of love, loyalty, and fun, I am the guy for you. Please go to www.goboxerrescue.com and fill out an application. If you've already done that, then you are in luck, because if you are interested in me, all you have to do is contact the people at Go Boxer Rescue and let them know. Then we can meet and see if we'd be a good fit. Just ask for me by name – Happy Gilmore.
