Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Honcho was originally picked up as a stray in January 2014 and sat in a shelter for over 10 months. We were able to pull him into rescue in the fall and adopted him out to a family we thought would be a great match. Unfortunately it didnt work out, and he was returned to us. He is once again looking for a forever home. He is a high energy guy - 22 pounds of piss and vinegar! He will need someone who is committed to giving him exercise and guidance. He has developed some reactivity when walked on leash, so we will be working with him to better his leash manners. He has done well with other dogs, though is pretty forward and cocky and can be too much with really submissive dogs, or dogs who dont appreciate rough and tumble play. He is initially shy and unsure when meeting new people, but is quick to make friends when treats are involved. He's done ok with cats in the shelter, but to date he has not lived with a cat in a home setting. He can mouth when excited or highly stimulated, so a home without kids is best for him. He is house and crate trained, and loves to cuddle with his people. He is generally quiet when left alone, and is currently fostering in an apartment setting. He has a beautiful brindle coat, and is a looker in person.
