My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wombat is a short-haired black and white male with green eyes. His white ear tips are pretty cute. He is neutered and vaccinated, and he was born in June 2013. He grew up with lots of other kittens around in his first foster home, but wasn't becoming social enough. He then warmed up immensely in his second foster home, but then he was no longer a kitten. He has been waiting for a forever home since.

Wombat likes to sit beside me on the bed and rub his nose and cheek against mine and makes soft kitty sounds as he does. He is very active when chasing and pouncing on his cork collection. He enjoys his cardboard box that has holes cut in the top and sides. Gentleness is one of Wombat’s character traits. he also loves other cats.

Pulling funny faces is Wombat’s trademark. His ‘why are you doing that?’ grimace is a classic.

Wombat will require a very particular type of home. He is a lovely little guy but he can be shy. He will hide if his house becomes filled with strangers and noise, but once Wombat knows his family, their normal household noise doesn't bother him. Wombat will need a home without children or frequent entertaining.

Wombat will also need to be an indoor- only cat unless you are willing to take the time to introduce him slowly to the outside by using a halter and leash and holding him because he would bolt and hide. Wombat is somewhat shy with new people but if they respect this, he will come close and play. Wombat will open up to an adoptive family if they put in the time to bond with him and teach him that they can be trusted.
