I am Bubba, I live at Earth Heaven Recue. I am a 5 to 6 year black lab mix, I am a very calm gentle big lover boy, I weigh about 80 lbs, I get along with almost every well behaved doggie here at Earth Heaven, I am older and don’t enjoy horsing around, I like the quiet. The only time I been in a scuffle is been with OX, the resident Pit Bull, he is a big bully, I can take a lot crap from him but a couple of times in the past two years, he’s pushed me to my limits and I pushed back to, nothing bad, just lots of noise, and by the way, he is my big buddy. In reality, I am a very laid back big furry fellow who likes to get along with any other well behaved doggies.
I am all right with people once I am introduced to them, I used to be male aggressive and that is the reason I ended up at the Fort Worth Animal Control Center, The Fresca Fund/Earth Heaven Rescue got me out just in time and worked with me and showed me I had nothing to fear from males. If am behind my fence, I will bark at people and because I am so big, people really get intimidated thinking I am a mind dog, but I am not, I just do what we are supposed to do, protect the territory, once you introduce me to people, I am OK. Because I am so relaxed, I would make a wonderful\l companion to a quiet calm person. I am great on leash and I am crate trained, in other words, if I have to be inside my crate inside the house for whatever reason, it is OK by me, I will just wait for to let me out, just be careful giving me treats, you better let me fetch them, I just get very excited with food, I don’t guard it but I devour my food in seconds. Overall, I am a Darn Good Dog.
