Rolo was found as a stray pup. He goes to dog daycare and has great dog skills. He is loving and affectionate. He is on the verge of becoming a teenager....he is playful like a puppy, is learning what is chewable and what is not and is very good about waiting to get outside to do his business. He rides very well in the vehicle and walks quite well on leash. He is nervous about some new people and needs a gentle and confident leader that he can trust and look to for guidance in greeting new people. In his foster home they have been avoiding meeting too many people at once and he seems to be relaxing and responding quite well to this. Greetings at first should be very selective and on his terms when he’s comfortable. He does warm up very quickly once he feels safe and in time he will learn that people will do him no harm. He also gets a bit anxious on leash when seeing other dogs but he is learning that this is okay too.

He has been in a foster home with kids and he does really well, but he does need someone’s full attention to help him navigate new and sometimes scary situations...to make sure he makes good choices so we’d recommend he be adopted to a home with one or two people or a home with mature kids so Rolo will be the center of attention when he’s out and about. He seems to do really well when around another confident dog so a home with a 4-legged companion would be great too, but not required.
Pets can be flown to new homes. Application and homecheck required for all homes, the dog will go to the best home for the dog.
