My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a cute name for an adorable little lady...Kiwi.

This lady has traveled very far to be in our rescue. She came all the way from the Tawas area where she was a stray at a shelter up there.

When the foster Moms opened the transport van door, Kiwi made little eye contact and kept her head down. Not wanting to scare her, the foster Moms gave Kiwi time to realize she was in safe and loving hands. Kiwi drove to the foster home in the back seat remaining very quiet.

Once at the first foster Mom's home, Kiwi met 2 blk labs who said, Come on in. Kiwi felt a little more comfortable being with a pack, even if they were new to her. After a little exploring in the yard, Kiwi was given a warm bubble bath and loved being treated so royally. A fresh collar, a fresh leash and a little walk with the pack and Kiwi's tail started rising along with a spring in her step.

Kiwi then went to the foster Mom's home where she will remain until she gets adopted. This home had 2 more dogs for Kiwi to meet. A Mastiff named Cooper and a Beagle named Mini-Cooper. Kiwi got along with them as if she was with them forever and the Coopers liked their new foster sister too.

Kiwi is a 3 year old Lab/Shar Pei mix, 34 pounds, UTD on vaccinations, housebroken, spayed an micro chipped. If you would like to meet Kiwi, please call Chris at 586 563 4127 or email: homes4angels@yahoo.com
