My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 6/21/2014. Cooper stayed with a another foster mom while his family went on vacation last week. He had a great time interacting with folks at two different dog events, playing at the dog park and hanging out with the cats. It was agreed that he is a real snuggle-bug and does an awesome job meeting new dogs and humans wherever he goes. This energetic youngster would make a great running/jogging buddy and would be happy as an "only" or having other four-footed siblings. He's gentle with young humans as well.

Update 5/21/2014. Cooper has settled into his foster home and is enjoying his foster siblings. He is great in a crate, loves hanging around the yard and is learning the basics.....walking on a leash, going to the potty outside and "sit", "down", etc. He loves attention and is a quick learner. What a sweet boy who deserves the very best in a forever family.

Posted 5-16-2014. Cooper is a lab/flat coated retriever mix, about one year of age, who was dumped in a rural neighborhood and followed a lady home who was walking her dog in a park. Cooper was scared of the 7 pound poodle , but on the walk they encountered ducks and stray cats and sweet Cooper was only interested in being with a person. He was rescued in memory of a friend whose son died very young...and named after him. Stay tuned for more information as Cooper settles into his new foster home, where he'll be hanging out with a pack of dogs ranging in size from 17 to 110 lbs. Cooper weighs about 55 lbs, which is thought to be a bit underweight.
