My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie is probably the easiest foster we have on the rescue ranch. She is a happy girl once she gets settled in a new place. She has a lively, playful personality which she prefers to direct to her people. Dixie is totally fine with other dogs, large and small.

She is also 100% reliable with cats and basically ignores our Amos, which is just fine with him as he is usually busy playing with Dixie's foster sister, Hattie.

Dixie has plenty of energy for daily walks and it also quite mellow at home. She loves to hang out in the yard, watching the world go by. She is also very happy in the house, in or out of her crate.

This cutie has the kind of story that always tugs at our hearts. She lived most of her life with her person, who had to surrender her to the shelter when the person had to move into a care facility. Dixie was rescued from the shelter and is just waiting around for the perfect forever home to find her. She weighs about 25 lbs and is about 7-8 years old.

Dixie has lots of time and love and health to offer with none of the challenges that come along with younger dogs who don't always know their manners. This girl knows hers for sure!
