My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is a 4 year old that was dropped off at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control by his owners. He was on the euthanasia list probably because he had "shut-down" in the shelter. He would just lay in the corner of the kennel and not move. We got him out of the shelter and he came back to life! He has been happy and excited ever since! He has been nice to the other resident dogs and super happy to be with the humans! We do not know how he is with cats. Max will require grooming appointments every 6 weeks or so along with a low-fat diet regimine as all Schnauzers require. He is a little overweight so we will work to get some weight off of him until he finds his forever home. Adoption fee includes: spay or neuter surgery, 4-in-1 vaccination, rabies vaccination and rabies license for one year with Maricopa County, and a microchip.
He is reportedly not good with little kids, so he will not be adoptable to families with children under 12 or families with extremely active households and kids coming and going all the time.He needs a quiet home, preferably (but not required) one where someone stays home quite a bit, because he is not happy about being left alone. He is very people oriented and wants to be in the same area you are.
His adoption fee is 100.00 which helps cover spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations and microchip.
