My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Samson is either a pure American Bulldog, or an American Bulldog with some pit bull or something similar mixed in. He may well be pure bred Am Bulldog, but we just aren't sure.
He is heavier than in these pics and more muscular, but not overweight. He is good with kids, but they should be older -- old enough to know to leave a dog alone, or not mess with its food. He was fantastic with other dogs, but was adopted by a great couple and then a feisty male Jack Russell moved in next door. That Jack Russell was wild and disturbed the whole neighborhood, and tried constantly to attack Samson thru the fence, to the point Samson finally tried to fight back (tried to go thru the fence -- he IS a hard headed bull dog!) The lady who owned the JRT refused to just let the owners of Samson know when she wanted to let her dog out so they could bring Samson in and vice versa! So Samson came back to us. So he is now a bit shell shocked and still likes female dogs, but has much less tolerance for another dog yapping and growling and such. So we would not place him in a home with another male dog, since he is a bully breed, however, he would probably enjoy a nice, calm, female who likes to romp. Being the only dog would be fine with him too, we believe, altho we have not ever seen him as the only dog in a house.
Samson is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY NOT GOOD WITH CATS!!!!!! He CANNOT be rehabilitated, and MUST be kept away from cats.
Samson is probably 2-3 years old. He has a slight underbite which gives him the most incredible expression sometimes, with his bottom lip sticking out a little!
