My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jerie ID #14-D2387 - Jerie is an approx. 6 month old Husky mix. She is a friendly girl that has a very close bond with her sister and would do best if they could go together. She is very vocal and will "talk" with you for great periods. She will need space as she is going to be a large dog when she is an adult. Come meet this true charmer and watch your heart melt. I'm available for adoption on 07/18. Our facility fills up quickly and my time to find a home is limited! My adoption fee is only $25.00 which includes my spay/neuter (Robeson County Residents ONLY) and a rabies vaccine after you choose me to be your new family member! If you can save me, please contact the shelter at 910-865-2200 or fax a hold request to 910-865-3872 or email it to animal.shelter@hth.co.robeson.nc.us. Please see info below regarding placing a hold. RCAS has a new policy in place so that all local adoptions will include spay/neuter and a rabies vaccine all for $25.00 to help reduce the overpopulation of unwanted animals in Robeson County. Rescue groups are not included in this program. *IMPORTANT RESCUE INFORMATION* If you are a 501c3, you’ll need to make sure that your rescue info is up to date with the shelter. Please don’t forget this most important step! Contact the shelter prior to the animal being picked up to make sure this info is complete and accurate. The $25 adoption fee is waived for 501c3’s. You may place a hold on an animal for 72 hours. If the animal is not picked up and no further arrangements have been made with RCAS at the end of the 72 hours the hold will be removed. To put a hold on a cat we need the following information: Animal ID # Name of Rescue Group (if there is one involved) Name of person placing hold Phone number of person placing hold Person authorized to pick up animal Date animal will be picked up We ALWAYS need and want Volunteers to socialize, walk dogs or help us keep our shelter clean! Please call or come by 255 Landfill Rd. and volunteer today!! If you can help a dog or cat in need of local foster for a limited time please call us and give us information where you can be reached. Thanks so much! Find us on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/profile.php?id=100001219280945 Please understand that RCAS is an open admission animal control facility. As such, time and space is limited on ALL animals. We take in all Robeson County animals and many are sick when they arrive, even though they may not be showing any symptoms. It is recommended that your new pet see a veterinarian right away. These pets have had no medical treatment and we offer no guarantee of an animal’s health, temperament, or breed.
