My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful girl needs a special home with someone who will be patient with her as she grows to trust and love a new family. She recently lost the only home and human friend she ever really knew.

Dahlia was taken out of Animal Control as about a 5 month old kitten in 2011. A sweet and social kitten, she got very lucky right away and was adopted by a woman who became her sole and devoted friend. Dahlia lived with her mom and bonded with her for a wonderful 3 years. The only person this special little cat knew and trusted was her mom who unfortunately developed some pretty serious medical issues, Dahlia was laying next to her human mom and purring when they said goodbye for the last time.

We had to take Dahlia back into Pawsitively Cats as she had no other family she could live with. Now this sweet little one is very scared and confused. She has been relocated to a place where she knows nobody and nothing is familiar. She has slowly begun to start bonding with people but, understandably, it is a difficult adjustment for her. We are really hoping someone will understand what this precious girl is going through and take her into their home to become their best friend, just as she was with her first human mom. It will be a process, and will take some time, but all she needs is someone with patience and love to give her another chance.

If you'd like to meet Dahlia or have any questions about her, please call Strickland Veterinary Clinic where she is staying for the time being. The number is 881-4797. We would love to have you get to know her to see if you might be the one who can give her a second chance.
