My story

4/24- This adorable group of pups was rescued from a high-kill shelter, where they were finally dropped off after spending the day in a wire cage in the back of a truck with no food or water. As a puppy in the south, sometimes your chances are better at a kill shelter than where you started, sadly. Luckily rescue came in and now these pups are going to have wonderful, loving homes. They are about 12 weeks old. Each of them is sweet, playful, and cuter than the last. The vet and rescue think they are English Setter/Blue Heeler mixed. they are very small right now, ranging in size from 5-12 lbs. We estimate they will be about 45lbs as adults. (others in this litter: Shadrach, Naomi, Hanna, Titus).

The adoption fee of $325 includes age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, USDA interstate health certificate and transport fee. Please go to http://app.fordogssakerescue.org for an application. That is the first step in all adoptions/inquiries. Thank you. fordogssakerescue@yahoo.com. At this time, we are unable to adopt to Rhode Island residents. Please note: Pups marked “pending” are adopted but not yet traveled home. They are to be considered unavailable

Why adoption is a great option

Meshach-reduced fee, a Manchester English Setter/Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter/Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Manchester, or seeking a English Setter/Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Manchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter/Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with English Setter/Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
