Prissy's Story...
My name is Prissy. My Nana says this a good name for me. I don't understand why. Maybe it is because I don't like to get dirty, I look like I am tip toeing when I walk and I am so small and dainty. I really like to be held and made over. If you would like a cuddle bug then look no further as here I am. My mom says I need to go to a home with older kids as little ones might hurt me. I am sort of shy and it takes a while for me to trust you enough to make up with you. But when I do I am yours for life. I forgot to tell you I was turned into the shelter with my mom and dad. They were put in one kennel together and I was put in a kennel all by myself. I was so scared I hid under the bed. Nana came along and saw the bed shaking and wondered what was wrong with it. She looked under it and there I was. So she took me home with her. She showed me love and that all people are not bad. I would really like a home of my own and a family that will think I am just the greatest little girl in the world. Do you think you could love me??? If so please go to and ask my Nana about me now. Thank you for looking.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prissy, a Harrodsburg Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Harrodsburg, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Harrodsburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrodsburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrodsburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrodsburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
