My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Now, tell me....have you EVER seen a little puppy boy as cute as me??? And personality...I have one! I am Landon, a little Catahoula with cream, black and white markings that are just gorgeous, I look like camouflage!!!! I was born in mid-May, 2014. I am irresistible!

My Mama was a stray and she just happened to find an old shed way out in the country to have her puppies. Something scared her and she decided to move us puppies to safety. However, two of the puppies got stuck in a wooden pallet and she couldn't get them out...and she couldn't nurse them, either. A puppy angel was watching over all of us...the shed was on the property of a Humane Society volunteer!! After hearing little puppy cries, he got them out of that pallet. The next day, they found me.

They looked for Mama, but never saw her or her puppies again. We were taken home by another volunteer who fed us with eyedroppers and baby bottles....my little sister, however, did not survive. My brother, Linus, and I are both staying in a loving foster home now to socialize us...that means the people play with us, hold and cuddle us and spoil us silly! We are growing and having a wonderful time. Our foster Mom has three of her own dogs - boy, do we like to play with them! We just run, roll and play....we wear them out! And we love to chew on our foster Mom's toes when we aren't playing with our toys! We know how to use puppy pads too and we are being crate trained, also. She told us she'll teach us to walk on a leash pretty soon.

We Catahoulas like lots of attention from our people...we need human companionship. We need direction, training, lots of walks and something to do.....and, we need you to be our dominant 'pack leader'.....and we want to spend lots of time with you. I know that after seeing my picture, you are just in love with me! So, I guess it is time for you to come visit and take me home!
