Cookie is a 7 year old Beagle mix who desperately wants a home but who is constantly being overlooked. She is always passed over for a younger dog, or a pure-bred, and she has not gotten what she dreams about every night: someone to love and who loves her. Is that too much for a little dog to wish for? Seemingly yes, because since she was dumped in a shelter to die by her previous neglectful owner last year she has not been adopted.
Cookie is blind in one eye due to a traumatic injury but it does not affect her happy and loving nature, she is hopeful and happy despite the odds against her. Cookie is great with other dogs and positively adores humans, she is a lap dog who would cuddle as the world ended, your love is all she cares about---and she is nonjudgmental if you want to watch a marathon of the Housewives of Beverly Hills and eat ice cream in bed: She loves you for who you are, not perfect but perfect for her.
Cookie bonds very tightly with people and she wants so much to have a home of her own. She looks and acts like a young dog, she loves to walk and play with toys, she will endearingly walk around with a toy in her mouth, and she has the softest fur in the world.
