Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE - ADOPTED!!
We are thrilled to announce that our friend -- and one of the most beloved and awesome big black dogs around -- has been adopted. When we rescued Boston, he was suffering from severe neglect. In our care, we healed his wounds, removed cancer from his body, treated him for heartworms, and he gained 20 pounds! To see him now, his black fur shines and his face is full of peace. Boston has been given a clean bill-of-health!
To see the JOY shining from Boston's eyes is why we rescue. This dog is so very special and he's found a devoted and loving forever home. He's a city-dog now and enjoys jogging with his people, going on car rides to the lake, having brunch with friends, and lounging on the couch when his people aren't home.
Thank you to Justin and Marissa for giving Boston the home he deserves. And thank you to his foster dad that helped us rehabilitate Boston -- he far exceeded our expectations. We adore you, Boston boy! Our love goes with you on your happy adventures!

Boston is a male Labrador Retriever born in 2010. He's about 65 pounds and likes to jump up in the air like a small pup. We figure Boston deserves all the patience in the world as he finds his way to a new life. We are committed to helping him do just that!
We met Boston last summer when he was rescued from a sad situation and we are so very proud of how far this handsome black Lab mix has come! The shine in Boston's eyes really says it all....
Boston was extremely skinny with infected wounds when we rescued him; the scars all over his body told of his past. We fattened Boston boy up with nutritious food and lots of love. He was eager for human attention and bonded quickly with other dogs in our program. Boston has been treated for heartworms and is a healthy and happy dog now. He loves to learn new things and is an affectionate guy. Boston is practicing basic obedience and has perfect house manners. He is HOUSETRAINED and crate trained.
Boston really enjoys running in a secure yard with other dogs his size. Boston also has his calm moments and likes to watch quietly as neighbors work in their garden. We think Boston is an exceptional dog that just needs a little one-on-one time with someone to reach his full potential. The shine in Boston's eyes really says it all.... Give him a chance and you won’t regret it!
Boston is current on routine vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and taking monthly heartworm preventive. No small dogs or cats. If interested in adopting Boston, please email your information to SacredPawsDogs@gmail.com. A volunteer will call within 24 hours. Boston's adoption contribution is $150-$200 and helps care for other dogs in our program.
