My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There are dog people and non-dog people, and then there are people who get dogs for the wrong reason.... whatever the situation, Mandy did not have a particularly happy puppyhood. According to neighbors, she spent most of the time in a crate in the garage, with little bonding between the human and poor Mandy. Physically she was cared for, was professionally groomed, and was introduced as “a designer dog.” Many complaints were listed for relinquishing this beautiful dog: she had accidents, she spit up, she drank too much water, and the list went on and on. When Mandy came to the shelter, she spent most of her time in her crate. We removed the door immediately, but she was fearful about leaving her “safe house.” It took her a couple weeks to finally realize that she had the freedom to run and play and interact with people and other little dogs. We have seen miraculous transformation in this adult, 18 pound sweetheart. She has become a personable, cheerful, self-assured gal who deserves to have a loving family who realizes what a true treasure she really is. It will be a fortunate family who gets the privilege of adding her to their hearts and home.
