My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you want a dog that loves to be petted and pampered, eight pound, eight year old Misty might be a perfect companion for you. Misty truly lived the good life. She spent most of her time on her elderly caregiver's lap, and wanted for nothing. However, circumstances changed when her beloved human went to a facility that did not allow pets, and she was quite traumatized to find herself at the TLC. She did make friends with another little dog, but had difficulty adjusting to her new life. She gradually accepted the changes, and is an outgoing, happy, and affectionate little one. She is still suspicious of strangers, especially men, and she can bark quite loudly if she feels she is being neglected, but Misty is a delightful, healthy dog. She would do well with a quiet family who was willing to set guidelines and limitations to make sure that she didn't become overly protective and possessive. With gentle but firm training (and an available lap!), she would be an awesome cuddle bug!
