Orion's Story...

Orion realized at a very young age that the best thing in the world is to be curled up in someone's lap, receiving scritches and rubs. It is entirely possible that she instigates playtime with her siblings, knowing that if they're busy rampaging about and playing, she will have the humans all to herself. She is very much a lap cat, which is entirely in keeping with her patient and relaxed demeanor. Not to say that Orion is above such things as playtime or the occasional bout of kitten mischief, but no matter what else is going on, if a lap is available this sweet girl with the white patches on her belly will wiggle her way onto it. This lovely little girl requires a home with another young cat - being a solo kitty makes her very sad.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Orion, a Alexandria Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Alexandria, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Alexandria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alexandria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alexandria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alexandria paves the way for another one to be saved.
