Gavin - ADOPTED!'s Story...
Gavin is a striking 18 month - 2 year old Border Collie mix. He is full of life and love and would love to have a human friend to do things with. He is very energetic and athletic and would make a great jogging or hiking partner. He has a wonderful smooth coat that is very easy to maintain. Gavin is very bright, learns quickly, and is willing to please. He gets along well with other dogs but prefers not to be around dominant males. He likes his toys but is not always willing to share them. He is house broken and puts himself in his crate. Due to his enthusiastic nature, Gavin would be best with children over 10 years.

All ARCBCR dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative and on preventative, dewormed and on flea and tick preventative before going to their forever homes. If interested in this pup, please fill out an online application on our website, www.arcbcr.org, and an ARC volunteer will contact you regarding your home evaluation to see if you and this pet are a good match. Please consider making a donation to help the ARCBCR Border Collies. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gavin - ADOPTED!, a Richmond Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
