Meet Lydia! This sweet girl was dumped or left behind in a neighborhood with one other cat more than 2 years ago. We were able to successfully catch, fully vet and adopt the first cat into a loving home. But the second cat (Lydia) we could never catch. We've watched her through the harshest of Ohio winters, through the hottest summer days--- we've provided a hut and daily/food water station for her as we've persisted in trying to catch her and bring her to safety.
We were recently able to save her- after 2 years of persistence! She entered A4A with an upper respiratory infection and was covered in fleas from head to tail. Despite everything, she immediately rubbed her new litter-box, and she had 3 food bowls placed in front of her- dry food, wet food and water- she went to all 3 over and over again eating out of each in amazement. She rolled on her back and purred. She gave us kisses...she showed her gratitude and began pawing her new pillow. We are...in a word, simply in awe.
Lydia will be spayed and vaccinated prior to adoption. She was front-paw declawed prior to her rescue. She had been treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms and is housetrained/litterbox trained- loves the indoor only life! She has tested negative for FeLv/FIV as well. She is very friendly, loves to snuggle and loves to be petted. Approx. 4-5 years young and full of love!
