My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hiya, I'm Robin. I don't know if you read about my friend Zeus yet, but I'm just as cool as he is and maybe even smarter too. Now let me just say up front that it would be really great to get to go live with Zeus and you together, and you can find him on this site probably how you found me, but if you can't take us both.... pick me pick me pick me.

Just kidding. What I am supposed to tell you is that Zeus and have been hanging out for a while now but we didn't grow up together, so it's ok if we don't go to the same home together. I'm even ok if I'm the only dog in my new home, because I like people so much. Most days I just sleep at my foster mom's feed when she's at her desk. Then I have to move really really fast when she almost rolls over me in that chair thingie.

They tell me I'm a "mix" and that means I've got everything you ever needed. I'm part husky and part shepherd and totally cool. I'm about 2 or so.

If you look at the pictures, you see me alone in two of them (I'm the better looking one, right?). When you see me and Zeus in the two photos, I'm the smaller one on the left in both photos (but I'm still the better looking one).

So what else? Oh, yeah, did I mention how much I like to be around people? I like kisses and I give kisses too, but not all the time and not big slobbery ones, yuk. I promise to love and protect you. I get attached fast and like to follow my foster mom around from room to room.

Please want me to be inside with you and outside with you, but not outside alone. That's so lonely it will make me sad.

I am potty trained (duh how hard is that), I like taking walks and I don't pull on that leash thing (much). I figured out how to use my foster mom's doggie door on the very first try. I sit on command and I know how to stay put if my foster mom tells me to, but I'm not sure I totally know what she means yet. I just know that if I sit still and stare at her as she backs away from me she'll give me treats afterwards and say "good girl."

Did I mention I play will with others? You can see me and Zeus playing when the video loads up, if it ever loads up. Oh, but maybe I like to boss around my playmate dogs just a little that aren't as smart as me, so you should let me meet any other dogs in your family slowly, especially if they are less dominant than me. Then once we get to know each other we get to play play play play. That's what happened with Zeus and I. We met, we fell in love and we played played played.

But I'd be just fine as the only dog - and maybe even finer. I probably shouldn't have another female dog as my friend though; I like to be the queen bee. If you do have another dog in the house, you maybe should be familiar with adopting a shelter dog. Someone wasn't nice to me before and I need to be around someone who is this time.

I like to throw toys in the air and play tug-o-war which is really cool. Sometimes Zeus and I play for an hour and by the time we're done we're both lying on our sides still trying to play. It's funny to watch.

You know what else? I'm really smart (I know I said that already) and I like treats. So that means I learn stuff really fast. You might want to train me without a clicker in sight though - it scares me for some reason if I can see it. Talk to my foster mom and she'll tell you all about clickers if you want. Man she never shuts up about those things.

Here's the fine print: I have a microchip, I won't have puppies because I'm spayed, and I'm up on all my shots.

I don't know what a cat looks like so I don't know what to say about that just yet, but you can see if I like them or not if you have one in your house.

I promise I will love and protect you till, well, forever and a day if you will just take me home especially since Zeus just got adopted! Without me. But I'm so much way cooler than he is!

If you want to meet me, email the nifty folks at Love Habitat Rescue and tell them about yourself, your family and how cool it would be for me to live there (she says that's called "your life style").

Oh, and I'm supposed to thank you for considering a rescue pet! And thank you even more for considering me me me me me and you you you you you... we go together like peanut butter and jelly.
