My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greetings! Our names are Oliver & Tyler. We are just a couple of Pugs who are looking to find another wonderful home. You see our owner sadly passed away recently & we miss her like crazy. She loved us with all her heart & would do anything for us. After her passing we went to live with our nice neighbors for awhile but they have so much going on they just don’t have the time to devote to us. Really its ok we appreciate them taking us in during our time of need but we’d really like to have a new family to call our own.

I’m Oliver (the older brother) & I’m 5 years old. Tyler is my little brother (although he’s bigger than I am!) & he’s 4. We are very happy go lucky, fun loving, sweet as pie pups. We are some of the friendliest pups you will ever meet & we absolutely LOVE everyone! If you have other pups, cats or kids we would love to meet them! I betcha we’d be best buddies.

We are hoping for someone who is understanding & patient. Our previous mom potty trained us with training pads so we really need someone to teach us to be completely housebroken. The foster home we are in has been working with us but we need you to be consistent with our training so we know what to do. We’d love to be enrolled in some basic obedience courses too. I mean after all being able to communicate with you is key.

Since we are very close knit brothers who are very fond of each other we are looking for a family to adopt us together. We are two peas in a pod! The ladies at our shelter promised since we lost our mom that we wouldn’t lose each other. So this is where you come into play. Do you have a soft spot in your heart for two furry loves? Some time to spend with us playing? Maybe you’re looking for some walking buddies? Or cuddle buddies? Are you looking for somebody to love? How about 2! We would love to meet & get to know you. We will shower you with attention & hope for the same in return. Currently we are residing in a wonderful foster home where we are being well taken care of. All you have to do to meet us is come to the shelter, complete an application & wait for the nice ladies to call you & say “when would you like to meet them”? Yes it’s really that simple. The hardest part is the waiting part but we promise you won’t regret any minute of it. So what are you waiting for come down today & tell them you want to meet Oliver & Tyler!

Note: As with all of our dogs, we strongly recommend obedience classes for new owner and dog to create a life-long bond with the adopted dog based on trust, respect and rewarding training experiences. We are offering dog training classes through FMAS Wagtime Dog Training. You can check out more information at www.fmaswagtime.com. We can help you train practical skills you use every day with positive reinforcement training. Our shelter dogs are strays and we observe and assess their behavior at the shelter which may be somewhat different in a home environment. In addition dogs adopted from the Manchester Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped and have received their Rabies and distemper vaccinations as well as other necessary medical care such as flea treatment. All dogs are also heartworm tested. Some prudent care such as heartworm medication is not provided at the shelter and should be taken care of at the earliest convenience upon adoption.
