My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sadie is a full grown adult, approximately 2 years old, who was dumped at the county shelter because she was heart worm positive & pregnant. She was an excellent mother to her 8 puppies who have all been adopted. Sadie has already completed her heart worm treatments & is now perfectly healthy & heart worm free. She is an adorable red lady with with white freckled nose and feet. She has the face of a Cocker and the body of a Corgi. Sadie is an incredibly sweet lady who likes to be the Queen of her castle. Sadie would prefer a doggie door leading into a fenced area for her to make frequent potty stops. Most likely due to her ill health while carrying 8 puppies at the same time, she is not able to hold her urine for an extended period of time. She has been checked out by the Vet & has no kidney problems. She can hold it all night as long as you take her out right before you go to bed & as soon as you get up. She is trained to use a "piddle pad", but would prefer a doggie door into a fenced area if possible. Sadie would best be suited to someone who is home all day because she loves attention. A retired person or a stay at home parent, would be perfect for Sadie since she prefers to have her humans home with her, to cuddle up on the couch, sleep in their bed, and ride in the car wherever you go. Once she has determined who her human is she will shadow that person most of the day, and doesn't like to be left alone for long periods of time. She also loves riding in the car. Sadie is just one of those dogs who loves to love. Sadie and Ebony are currently sharing the bed with my Grandmother & they both think it is their duty to make sure her feet stay warm & she never gets lonely. She is also fine with our indoor cats. Sadie's favorite thing to do in the yard is chase all the squirrells away.
