My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rocky, Male Chihuahua Cross, 3 1/2 yrs old

Rocky was an owner surrender at Hollister Shelter with consent euthanize, had we not rescued him in October 2014, he would have been euthanized.

Rocky is a sweet little dog, (weighs 7lbs) who is shy at first, but warms up. He can become spooked at new things so we always give him a slow introduction.

He came to us with no formal training. His foster mom has done an excellent job with leash training; he now loves taking long walks, and goes on pack walks.

Rocky gets along with all dogs, big and small and enjoys their company. His foster home also includes two cats, which he is fine with. He is crate trained.

Rocky still hasn't mastered his cue’s to go outside to potty. He will need a patient owner to continue housebreaking him, and also patience when calling him as we are still working on his "come" when called.

Rocky is a little timid if you try to approach him too quickly, and is frightened by small children- so we believe he would do best in a home with older children.

Rocky loves snuggling, taking naps and playing with his favorite ball.

We'd love this delightful lovable little Chihuahua to find a forever home.
