Koda's Story...
Koda will definitely catch your eye. She's a cute one year old Smooth Collie/Hound mix that arrived from another shelter so her history is not known. Koda is a playful girl with lots of puppy traits. She will need some training. This gal has gone from one rescue to Friendship and has a lot of pent up energy from always being in a cage. She would love a fenced in yard to romp and play and a family to love her. With a little guidance and love, Koda will be a great addition to any family.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Koda, a Elyria Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Collie/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
