My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

* URGENT!!! Eddie is in the shelter and we need a Foster NOW!

Free Love Animal Rescue wants to save this dog from the shelter before they kill him but we need a foster home to do so!

I used to know this dog Eddie and his family. His brother was a 10 pound sweet poodle and they loved each other. I've posted pix of them. Eddie's parents told me Animal Control took him away from them and never told them where he went and then killed him. WELL GUESS WHAT? HE'S ALIVE and that was a lie! His family obviously dumped him at the pound! It says right on his intake card "OWNER SURRENDER!!" Now he's been there for 3 months and his nails are so long and he's lost so much weight!! ;(

I met him last year when his parents left town, he stayed with me for a week with is poodle brother. He was great with small dogs and big dogs! He slept in my bed! He loved playing with water I would squirt at him with the hose. He's funny and adorable! Im guessing he's about 4 years old and 70 pounds.

I remember his parents telling me that they were on a walk with Eddie and he broke away from the leash and got in a fight with a dog and they got kicked out of their apartment building. Then they said the reason he was taken from them was because he broke their screen door and went through and fought another dog. BOTH things were their fault. If you have a dog that is obviously leash aggressive, or gets aggressive behind door or fences, which accounts for MANY dogs, then why have a flimsy collar and leash? Why have your front door open with just a screen door between him and other dogs walking by? He shouldn't have to pay the price for their stupidity. He needs a yard and a friend. They were just the wrong home for him, but to put him back in JAIL rather then trying to find him a new home is awful! They could have called me for my help back then and didn't do anything.

Now here we are three months later, I just found out about him by a fluke accident I recognized him from a picture a friend posted online, even though I thought he was dead all this time. Still he's locked up pointlessly and after over 3 months in the pound they won't keep him alive much longer! Please foster him if you have a yard for him to play and have a warm bed indoors where he can cuddle at night.

Consider saving EDDIE! I will PAY for EVERYTHING he needs!
