Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rhode Island LILY
We do not transport dogs out of the area. We ask that you live within 50 miles of the dog's location. We are an all volunteer organization and can only respond when a completed application is filed. We do list our requirements, so please read carefully. Sometimes the ad states the date the dog is expected to arrive into Rhode Island....so please don't be discouraged if you don't hear right back. All dogs are adopted through contract
LILY is a 2-4 years old bichon (possible full breed) and found herself lost, unclaimed and in a southern high kill shelter. She also appears to have had puppies recently, so I would guess that her breeder just dumped her and kept the puppies---sadly all too common in the south. She is sweet and loving and looking for her forever home. She has been with a foster family who says she is a doll and can't believe someone hasn't claimed her. She stares at you you those beautiful big eyes as it she is pleading...."please be my forever". Her eyes tell a longing to belong story and when you look deep into them you will see she has an old soul. Lily is certainly one special little girl who will make someone fall in love when they meet her. Although she gets along with all the dogs she meets, she not really into dog play, but rather sit in your lap or on the couch/bed with you. She is a true princess! She uses the doggie door on her own to go potty. Personally I see her with someone who wants a "lap" dog and best friend to hang out with forever. She is UTD on all her shots and is in Rhode Island for you to meet. We do ask that if you have children, they need to be dog savy/ The children she has met so far were all greeted with kisses, but I still believe a quiet home is best, maybe with the visiting grandchildren?? Stay tuned for updates and more photos.

Once we have reviewed your application and think it is a match we will notify you. Please understand that as these dogs are fostered we do get to know them and have a good idea of their forever home. We do NOT save applications, but you may put multiple names on one applciation. We do not choose by a first come first serve basis. So if the dog is still up on the site, consider the dog AVAILABLE. We do take down quickly when adopted. We are a Domestic Non Profit Corporation.
