My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Mickey and I'm a young boy, about 2-3 yrs old, and am about 55 pounds. As I'm sure you can see by my facial expression, I am SO HAPPY to finally be out of the shelter I was rescued from!

My foster mom has made me feel right at home here! She has several other dogs and we all get along great together. Foster mom says so far I've proven to be quite a smart boy....I already know 'sit' and have proven to be a quick learner! I’m now housebroken - the first thing I do when I go outside is go potty! I walk pretty well on leash and am getting better every day! On my daily walks, I have encountered some small dogs and have done as well with them as I have with my foster mom's medium/large sized dogs. I just LOVE everyone! I also love to eat and will 'sit' when told and eagerly await treats!

I crave positive reinforcement, am playful and fun, and would make a great new friend to someone out there! I also enjoy snuggling with both humans and my canine buddies! It’s one of my favorite things to do! Check out my video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0bCDrJQS8U&feature=youtu.be

I'm neutered, vaccinated for distemper/parvo, rabies, bordatella, flea/tick preventative, heartworm negative and current on preventative, and dewormed. My adoption fee is $125. TWHRA is open to out of state adoptions if they are within a distance where a home visit can be performed. TWHRA is also open to 'foster to adopt' trial periods where I can go home with an approved adopted for a 2 week trial to make sure it's a good fit for me and the adopter before my adoption is finalized.
