Name: Dorrie
Breed: Dachshund
Age: Mature Adult
Gender: Female

Dorrie is a sweet senior 6-8 yr old that is partially blind who loves her people dearly. She will bond hard and fast with her forever home family. If you are looking for a dog practicing being cute noon stop, look no further! She loves to snuggle on the bed with her people and on a couch to a good movie. She is still pretty active and gets along with our other much larger dog & with small kids. She does like her alone time but isn't afraid to go find a quiet place to nap.

You can email with questions or submit an application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

This dog is located in Minneapolis, MN.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dorrie, a Lakeville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Lakeville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Lakeville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lakeville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lakeville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lakeville paves the way for another one to be saved.
