Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Spring, and I am a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier mix. I am told I am approximately 5 years old, but I am a puppy at heart! I LOVE my squeaky toys, and I love them even more when you play with me. I like going for walks, and I am great on a leash. My foster mom says I have to be on a leash at all times because she thinks I have a fascination with other animals and people. I will bark at strangers and other animals, but it's really just because we haven't been properly introduced. It only took me a few hours to warm up to my canine foster sisters, but now we play together! I took to my foster mom like glue! She called me her shadow for the first week I was with her. I don't follow her around so much anymore now that I am comfortable in her house, but I do try to talk sometimes. She calls me her little Dino because she says I sound like a dinosaur. I do admit, I am a little bit raspy, but that's just me.
I like being outside in the fresh air where I can sunbathe, patrol the fence, and stare at the squirrels in the trees. I only bark at them because they are such show-offs jumping from branch to branch and they won't play with me! I am always quiet outside until the neighbor dog barks at me through the fence (he barks at everything, even the wind), so naturally, I bark back at him.
I LOVE to be inside too. Every time I come in the house from being outside, I have to check on my human foster sister. When I find her in her swing, I give her a kiss on her arm. I am housebroken, and I will sit by the door to let you know when I really need to go potty. I go potty several times a day, so the longer days are a little hard on me. I like to sit on the top of the back of couch. Maybe it's because I am so short, but I like to sit up high so I can see everything. At nighttime, I like to cuddle with my humans. I am usually content just laying next to you on the bed, but if it starts to get chilly, I am the first to volunteer to be your personal undercover heater!
I am up-to-date on my vaccinations, HW negative, and already spayed! I love car rides, so I am looking forward to my ride up north! All I need is a cozy home when I get there! Could it be yours?
