Up for adoption is Gonzo a Kerry Blue Terrier/Italian Greyhound mix. He is a small boy about 14 inches at the shoulder weighing in at 20 pounds. Gonzo is 4-5 years old (as of 12/2014), neutered, up to date on all shots/heartworm and flea and tick preventative. Gonzo loves hikes in the woods and despite his size handles 2 and 3 mile hikes with zest. Gonzo loves riding in the car. He is crate trained and housebroken. He transitions from busy to calm quickly. He enjoys the art of being a couch potato. We jokingly and with much love call him our 'miniature Wolf Hound' because in person he looks like you took an Irish Wolf Hound and put him in the 'shrinky-dink oven'...he has the weird, wirery hair, the whiskers, the howl the works just in a tiny little package...LOL
Gonzo is good hanging with other dogs, though he doesn't prefer it, he prefers to eat in private and not share his food or people, his ideal life would be if he was the King of his own castle and had your undivided attention. He doesn't like to share his food either. If at all possible he would like it if at least every once in while you would pick him up, let him wrap his front legs around your neck and you carry him like a toddler. If you are working on your computer he would like to be right by your side as well. So, if you are ready for a constant companion and a best friend who will be hopelessly devoted to you then this is your guy.
