My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please visit the CRN website at www.collierescuenetwork.com and fill in the online application found there before submitting an inquiry about Honey if you are interested in adopting her. Please fully read the adoption process found on the website. Honey is being fostered in Ontario.

Honey is a happy, young, bouncy girl of 11 months who needs to find an active, fun place to call home. She would love to find a home that will not only take her out for walks each day but will also engage her in playtime both inside and out to help burn off that puppy energy she has. Honey might look like a full-grown Collie but at just 11-months-old, she is VERY much still a puppy so please keep in mind she will still do all the puppy things that require that much more energy and time in living with a young dog! She will do best in a home where someone is home at least part of the day or will arrange a dog walker to come in. She will NOT do well in a home where she is alone 8+ hours or is crated for long periods of time.

Honey is such a sweet girl! She is affectionate, loves attention, listens well and is truly an all-around great girl. She will make an excellent addition to a young, active family as long as they understand she IS a herding dog, so younger children may be herding into corners or get heel nips if they're running. She would likely enjoy being with kids of any age but toddlers may be unhappy if she knocks them over or jumps on them in her bouncy style of play.

Honey would love a doggie buddy to play with! She's great with other dogs and in her current foster most of the other dogs are a little older and uninterested in playing with Honey. This doesn't stop her from trying though! She's always up for a game of frisbee (her favourite toy!!) or ball and will try to entice anyone, two-legged or four-legged, to play a game of "throw my toys and chase me around".

Cats that have been around large dogs will be fine with this sweet girl. Her current foster home also fostered kittens and Honey likes to lay down with them and lick them from head to toe. She tries to play with the older cats (some of them like it, some not so much so it will depend on your own cat really if Honey is a good fit there).

Someone who is looking for a happy fun new family member will love Honey. Honey will only be adopted to a home willing to attend a basic obedience class with her. These classes will help reinforce her basics but also be a great way to bond with her new family doing something active and fun for everyone! You must be willing to attend classes and have something set up in order to adopt Honey.

Honey would make a great agility partner for anyone wanting to get into a doggie sport. She is FAST! She listens intently, learns quickly and love to go, go, go! She would be great really at any of the dog sports out there so if you're looking for a young dog to get into some weekend fun with, Honey is your girl!

Adoption applications can be found at the CRN website at www.collierescuenetwork.com

An adoption fee of $350 applies for all adopted dogs.
