Meet Krista!

Krista is a happy go lucky girl who is looking for a forever family that will give her all the love and kisses that she desires.

Krista is a fantastic dog. Her foster mom says, "She is perfect! Awesome dog!" Krista gets along wonderfully with dogs of all shapes and sizes. However, as a Border Collie mix, she has a natural drive to herd and would be better suited in a home without cats. Most importantly, Krista is a very loyal girl who wants nothing more than to be with people and would to join you wherever you may go. In fact, Krista's foster mom just took her to a large event with thousands of people, lots of dogs, and loud noises and she loved it. She is quite easy to please and would be happy doing almost anything as long as she's with you! She is excellent on leash and does great in the car.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
